Malik Beasley
Shooting, shooting, and more shooting is what the Los Angeles Lakers need the most of this offseason. Last offseason, Los Angeles traded for Dennis Schroder and signed Wesley Matthews in hopes it would aid them in the shooting department.
While Schroder performed well at times as a starter, Matthews saw a minimal role throughout the season. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has held a prominent role at shooting guard in recent seasons, but his inconsistencies from outside should be noted.
In an attempt to give LeBron James and Anthony Davis a shooter on the wing, Malik Beasley of the Minnesota Timberwolves wouldn’t be a terrible option. Beasley had the best season of his career in 2020-21, scoring a career-high 19.6 points per game on 39.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
The former first-round pick out of Florida State certainly benefitted from D’Angelo Russell missing some time, allowing him to thrive as a go-to scorer in Minnesota.

With LeBron James and Anthony Davis commanding the attention of defenses, they need guys that can knock down threes at an efficient clip. Malik Beasley, who is 24 years old, has shown in recent seasons that he is making the necessary strides to become a three-point marksman in the NBA.
