Another small-market team that doesn’t have much success in signing big-name free agents is the Memphis Grizzlies. At the least, the Grizzlies have Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr. to build around for the future.
Xavier Tillman, Brandon Clarke, and De’Anthony Melton are also pieces that could be considered long-term fixtures for the organization.
After making progress this season by making the playoffs for the first time since the 2016-2017 season, the Grizzlies need to continue building a well-rounded roster around Morant.
In an attempt to keep Kyle Anderson as a bench contributor, Memphis could sign Norman Powell to improve their wing depth next season.

The Grizzlies shot only 35.6 percent from beyond the arc in 2020-21 (20th in the NBA), which is something that Powell could help fix if he was added to the roster.
