San Antonio Spurs
For the first time in their franchise’s storied history, the San Antonio Spurs have missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons. Greg Popovich is still at the helm, but this offseason could quietly be an important one for the Spurs.
DeMar DeRozan is expected to hit free agency, and the popular opinion is that he decides to sign elsewhere after spending the past two years in San Antonio.
The Spurs have guys like Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell waiting in the wings to replace DeRozan.
However, a player like Norman Powell could help the Spurs to add more perimeter shooting to their half-court offense and enable the team to succeed using small lineups even without DeRozan.

After finishing as the 25th team in three-point efficiency this season, the Spurs would benefit from adding a player like Powell that can bring spacing and three-point shot making to the starting lineup around Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Jakob Poeltl.
