#3 Mike Conley Jr. – Unrestricted Free Agent
One of the more intriguing point guards available in free agency this year that could actually draw a fair amount of interest is Mike Conley Jr. The veteran point guard was shipped to Utah ahead of the 2019-20 season and has been a key contributor for the Jazz, but this does not necessarily mean that he will re-sign with them.
Although they just finished with the best record in the league, the Utah Jazz do have a fair amount of work to do roster-wise in order to truly be considered a championship contender, which is why Conley could potentially look at other destinations in free agency, one of those destinations being the New York Knicks.
Mike Conley has always been known to be a great defensive guard and given that he can also lead an offense at a high-level, he is the exact kind of point guard the Knicks need. This year with the Jazz, Conley averaged 16.2 points, 6.0 assists, 1.4 steals and shot 41.2% from three-point range.
Perhaps the most valuable aspect of the veteran guard’s NBA career is that Mike Conley has been to the playoffs eight different times in his career. The Knicks are a team that has playoff aspirations from here on out and they will likely be in the playoffs again next year given how well they were defensively this year, but in order to improve and advance, they need more talent on offense.

Not only do they need to add more scorers to their team, which Conley can be, but they need a point guard who is more than capable of controlling and running an offense. Mike Conley checks every single box the Knicks have for a point guard and if they are willing to pay $25M+ per year, then they will absolutely be in the running for Conley.
