New York Knicks
Almost every offseason, the New York Knicks are always labeled as a team that could land some of the big-name free agents, only for them to whiff on them. That being said, this offseason finally seems like the offseason where the Knicks will make a splash move.
While DeMar DeRozan wouldn’t be classified as a splash move, he could be one of the team’s notable additions in the coming months. He is still a dynamic pick-and-roll and isolation scorer that would provide needed balance come playoff time since Julius Randle was neutralized this go around.
During New York’s first-round playoff exit by the Atlanta Hawks, it was evident that the team needed more go-to guys around Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, and Derrick Rose.
Derrick Rose is an unrestricted free agent and he could very well look to sign elsewhere in the offseason. With a glaring need on the wing, DeRozan could slide into the front court alongside Randle, giving Tom Thibodeau another valuable ball-handler on offense.

And for DeRozan, getting to play at Madison Square Garden would allow him to showcase his talents on a big stage. He could slot back in at the three spot alongside RJ Barrett on the wing and be an intriguing stopgap option at that spot.
