DeMar DeRozan is expected to be one of the premier names in NBA Free Agency this offseason as he’s an unrestricted free agent for the San Antonio Spurs.

The writing is on the wall for DeRozan to depart in free agency after spending the past two years in San Antonio. With teams looking for versatile wings more than ever, DeRozan could have a decent market this summer.

This season, the Spurs used DeRozan in more of a small-ball power forward role, which could increase his value in NBA free agency. Having his skill-set on the floor to fill such a role

Teams that need a forward that can handle the ball are undoubtedly going to gauge interest once they are able to speak to free agents. There just aren’t much for high-level wing players that will be available this offseason and DeRozan certainly ranks atop the list — assuming Kawhi Leonard is off-the-table.

During the 2020-21 season, DeRozan appeared in 61 regular season games and provided averages of 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and a career-high 6.9 assists. He made it a point to show more playmaking ability in addition to his impressive scoring.
