Portland Trail Blazers
Another team that is under pressure to surround their franchise cornerstone with talent is the Portland Trail Blazers. Portland has been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs five times in the last seven seasons, prompting them to fire Terry Stotts.
Roster changes are on the horizon for the Trail Blazers, but Damian Lillard needs to remain the focal point of the franchise.
CJ McCollum has operated as the second fiddle to Lillard in the past six years, but there’s a chance he’s traded elsewhere in hopes to have a fresh start.
While Portland could get a decent player in return for McCollum, Wood is a trade candidate that the Trail Blazers should consider in the coming months.

Portland wants to build a team that has shooting across the board, and Wood is more than capable, knocking down 37.4 percent of his threes in 2020-21. Acquiring Wood to pair with Lillard would be a great start toward forming a contending team in the Western Conference.
