The Washington Wizards had a really up-and-down season this year that somehow ended in success for them! At the NBA All-Star break during the regular season, the Wizards were 14-20 and one of the worst teams in the league.

As the second-half of the season progressed though, Washington started looking better and better due to the fact that Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal were putting up video game-like numbers. Now, after losing to the Philadelphia 76ers 4-1 in the first-round of the playoffs, Washington will be looking for ways to add a third star/key player to their rotation next to Westbrook and Beal. With not a lot of cap space and not many assets to deal with, the Wizards options on how to add a third key talent are slim, but they could potentially strike a deal with the Rockets for Christian Wood.

After signing a three-year, $41M deal with the Rockets last offseason, Christian Wood had a fantastic year that could have ended with him being this year’s Most Improved Player if he did not miss close to half the season with ankle issues.

In a recent article, Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report seems to think that the Wizards could put together a lucrative offer including two young talents in order to potentially trade for Christian Wood. Let’s take a look at what this trade looks like.
