Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic decided to sell at the NBA trade deadline. They made the postseason in each of the last two years but got off to a rough start this season.

This forced the front office to sell some of the expiring contracts in hopes of adding some capital. They could use some of that to move up in the 2021 NBA Draft and land the next franchise player.

Orlando moved Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, and Evan Fournier at the NBA trade deadline. This put them in complete rebuild mode and near the bottom of the standings. The Magic have multiple picks in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft that could be moved in order to get the No. 1 pick.

The Magic have some interesting pieces in the backcourt such as Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony with some intriguing frontcourt pieces in Jonathan Isaac and Wendell Carter Jr. The first-overall pick and the chance to draft Cunningham would help the Magic during their rebuild and give them a player to rely on.

The Magic were an entertaining team to watch but business forced them to sell some big names. This is a move that would land them another in hopes of building a winner sooner than later. Orlando will be an organization to watch in NBA trade rumors as a result.
