3. Pascal Siakam to the Dallas Mavericks
Among the teams who could be active on the trade market this offseason, the Dallas Mavericks are a team that desperately needs to make a move. For starters, the Mavericks need to get what they can by offloading Kristaps Porzingis. Once Porzingis is traded, Dallas can focus on finding Luka Doncic a new running mate as the franchise enters a new regime.

Rick Carlisle and Donnie Nelson are no longer part of the organization, leaving the Mavericks in a state of flux. That means that this offseason has to be the one where Dallas gets Doncic an All-Star caliber player — or two — to play with. Despite the slack he catches from the NBA community at times, Pascal Siakam would be an ideal trade candidate for the Mavericks.
Siakam just finished up his second consecutive season of notching 20+ points, 7+ rebounds, 3+ assists, and at least one steal per game for the Toronto Raptors. The one area Siakam will need to improve in is his outside shooting, where he shot a dismal 29.7 percent this season.
Though, I choose to believe that he’s closer to the 36.3 percent shooter from beyond the arc that he was from 2018-2020. Two-way versatile forwards that can score 20+ points per game don’t grow on trees, and Siakam would work well alongside Doncic as the Mavericks begin forming a new-look roster in the coming months.
