5. Malcolm Brogdon to the Los Angeles Lakers
Yes, I know, Malcolm Brogdon isn’t an All-Star player, and he isn’t the flashiest player on the court. However, with the Indiana Pacers considering all of their options, Brogdon could become a fantastic addition for a contending team this offseason. The Virginia product has operated as the starting point guard for the Pacers in the past two seasons after spending his first three years with the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Los Angeles Lakers are a team looking for a point guard this offseason, making Brogdon a possible trade candidate for them. Despite Indiana missing the playoffs, Brogdon posted a career-high 21.2 points per game, to go along with his 5.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game. Brogdon’s ability to contribute on both ends of the floor would make him a perfect fit on the Lakers alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
The 28-year-old point guard is capable of creating his own shot, and he can excel as a catch-and-shoot player, converting 38.8 percent of his three-point shots in 2020-2021. If Los Angeles was to make an offer for Brogdon, it would undoubtedly need to include Kyle Kuzma and more to get a deal done.
While Brogdon isn’t a player that most people believe can alter the outlook of a roster, I believe the Lakers would cement themselves as favorites in the Western Conference with Brogdon as their third option.
