Dallas Mavericks

There are rumblings coming out of Dallas that Luka Doncic could be headed toward a possible divorce with the Dallas Mavericks in the future. Whether or not the reports are true, the Mavericks have to do everything in their power to ensure that Doncic doesn’t have a reason to leave.

That begins with Dallas making the necessary roster moves this offseason. The Mavericks have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in back-to-back seasons, and Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t stepped up as the team expected he would.

In all likeliness, Porzingis won’t be on the roster next season. With an obvious need at the two-guard spot, McCollum would solve a lot of issues for the Mavericks.

McCollum would give Dallas another player that can create for himself, along with someone that can space the floor for Doncic to work his magic.
