There is a feeling that the Portland Trail Blazers could be looking to split up their dynamic duo. It seems like this has been in NBA trade rumors for years now but this could be the offseason where it finally happens. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have made the Blazers a staple in the postseason but have been unable to take that step toward a championship.
Lillard has become one of the best players in the league and an elite point guard. It seems unlikely that Portland will look to move him unless he attempts to force his way out of town. If that is the case, they will get a massive haul for Lillard. If he wants to stay put, McCollum is the other option to be moved.

The Trail Blazers have been eliminated in the first round of the postseason in four of the last five years. At some point, the front office will have to go through a bit of a rebuild of the roster.
If McCollum is on the trading block, there will certainly be many teams interested. The Dallas Mavericks are an intriguing destination to watch. Dallas was eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the postseason for the second year in a row.

This could lead to a blockbuster deal involving some big-name players. Let’s take a look at what a potential deal from Bleacher Report’s Andy Bailey could look like in the offseason between Portland and Dallas.
