The Los Angeles Lakers came up short in their efforts of repeating as NBA champions. The Phoenix Suns managed to comfortable defeat them with a combined 43-point scoring different between Games 5 and 6 to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

LeBron James entered the NBA playoffs with an ankle injury that was clearly limiting him during the opening round. Now, the focus shifts for the Lakers to adding talent around both LeBron James and Anthony Davis to better compete with the rising powers of the Western Conference.

One team that could have an intriguing trade possibility for the Lakers to pursue is the Washington Wizards. While Bradley Beal is the obvious top of the wish-list, it would actually be Russell Westbrook that Los Angeles would have a reasonable shot at being able to land.

For this to take place, the Wizards would need to first be prompted to trade Bradley Beal and that would happen if he were to go to the front office and make it clear he wants out.
