Detroit Pistons

Aside from the Thunder, the Detroit Pistons are another team that is amid a full rebuild. Detroit had the second-worst record in the NBA this season and besides Jerami Grant, the team doesn’t have much committed to any players.

That could allow for an easy trade as a third team, or if the Lakers take a liking to someone on the Pistons, then both sides could come to terms on a deal.

The Pistons desperately need scoring and Kyle Kuzma is at his best when he’s told to do nothing but score. Kuzma can stretch the floor for Detroit and give them versatility at both forward spots. Not to mention, Kuzma was born in Flint, Michigan, so by being traded to the Pistons, he could play close to home.

Similar to the Thunder, the Lakers are probably not interested in landing any Detroit’s unproven young players. But if Los Angeles needs a team to get involved in a trade to take Kuzma’s contract, the Pistons may be a team that would be intrigued by the idea.
