Toronto Raptors
Around the time of this season’s NBA trade deadline, teams were rushing around to try and make a move for Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors. The Lakers were among the teams to speak to the Raptors, but no deal came into fruition, and Lowry is set to hit NBA free agency this summer.

If the Lakers are still intrigued by the idea of adding Lowry to their duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, then they could reopen trade talks with the Raptors.
In all likeliness, talks would begin with Kyle Kuzma at the forefront due to Los Angeles’ lack of enticing draft capital, and the team’s shortage of young players. Toronto could add Kuzma in anticipation of them moving on from Pascal Siakam in the near future, or if they keep Siakam, Kuzma can be a great bench scoring option.
In the scenario that Lowry chooses to play elsewhere, a core of Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Chris Boucher, Kuzma, and possibly Siakam wouldn’t be awful for Nick Nurse and co.
