After a legendary run with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli, the San Antonio Spurs have been stuck in mediocrity in recent seasons. For the first time in their storied history, the Spurs have been unable to advance to the postseason in back-to-back seasons.

When Greg Popovich is incapable of leading a team to the playoffs two years in a row, we should expect San Antonio to shake things up on the roster this offseason.
DeMar DeRozan is a free agent this summer, and all signs point toward the Spurs letting him test the open market. San Antonio is hoping that their backcourt of Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Lonnie Walker is something they can lean on for the future. Keldon Johnson is another piece to the puzzle that could help the Spurs return to relevancy again.
In an attempt to become more of a modern offense, San Antonio could acquire Draymond Green from Golden State. While Green isn’t a sharpshooter from outside, he can operate at the top of the key, dishing out assists to the other members of the team. Ball movement is vital in Popovich’s system and Green is definitely someone who is accustomed to moving the ball around due to his time with the Warriors under Steve Kerr.
