Michael Porter Jr. needs to be more aggressive on offense for Denver
Since Jamal Murray went down with his torn ACL in his left knee, Michael Porter Jr. has been the guy to step up on offense next to Nikola Jokic, but he has not been that impactful in this series against Portland. He is only averaging 15.3 points per game against the Blazers in the playoffs, which is much less than his season average to end the regular season.
He played well in Game 1, shooting 12-21 from the floor and scoring 25 points, but he has not shot well from three in this series, shooting just 33.3% from distance, and his scoring numbers have declined each game.

In Game 4’s blowout loss to Portland, MPJ only scored 3 points on 1-3 shooting. Portland has done a good job at closing out to him defensively and limiting his opportunities, but at the end of the day, he needs to use his size and strength if Denver is going to win this series.
Nikola Jokic cannot do everything for this team and that showed in Game 4 against Portland. Porter Jr. needs to be aggressive driving to the rim and not only getting to the free-throw line, but putting pressure on one of the worst defenses in the NBA.
He is the key for Denver moving forward and if Michael Porter Jr. can get hot, then the Nuggets can be a force in the Western Conference.
