4 major takeaways from Saturday’s NBA playoff action

Saturday’s NBA action provided us with a handful of blowouts, but in all four games, there was a lot to talk about and learn from. The first game of the day was between the Bucks and the Heat with Miami looking to avoid being swept.

Well, that did not happen, as the Bucks won Game 4 120-103 and they swept the Miami Heat after losing to them last year in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Bucks looked great in this series, showing no signs of weakness, but they did lose Donte DiVincenzo for the rest of the year due to a foot injury.

The second game of the day was between the Nuggets and Blazers in which Portland won Game 4 of this series 115-95. Now with the series tied 2-2, this becomes a ‘Best of 3’ series with two of the three games in Denver.

Game 3 between the 76ers and Wizards was played Saturday night in which the 76ers once again crushed the Wizards 132-103 to take a 3-0 series lead. Like the Bucks with the Heat, Philly has shown no signs of weakness and look like they are on cruise control to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

And finally, to cap off the day, the Utah Jazz traveled to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies in Game 3. With Donovan Mitchell scoring 29 points and the Jazz knocking down big shots late in the game, they were able to take back home court advantage and lead the series 2-1 over Memphis.

There is a lot to talk about with all of these games, so let’s dive in and take a look at the three biggest takeaways from Saturday’s playoff action.
