Three-point shooting from Royce O’Neale is the difference for Utah in their series

Getting Donovan Mitchell back has been huge for Utah in this series, but one of the main reasons why they have won Games 2 and 3 is because Royce O’Neale is knocking down some huge three-point shots.

In Game 1’s loss for the Jazz, O’Neale only shot 1-6 from the floor, including 1-3 from three-point range. In Games 2 and 3 combined, he has shot 8-13 from three-point range and has scored a combined 26 points.

This has been the biggest difference for the Jazz in terms of winning and losing and moving forward, if they can get this kind of production from O’Neale, then there’s no reason why they cannot continue to show that they are the best team in the league.

Three-point shooting has been the biggest strength of the Utah Jazz all season long and it has not just been a couple of guys knocking down shots. Pretty much everybody on this roster has the ability to knock down outside shots, but the ones they get from Royce O’Neale are almost like the “cherry on top” of everything else.

Donovan Mitchell is going to do his thing, as is Mike Conley, but with Ja Morant and Dillon Brooks playing well offensively right now, the Jazz will need Royce O’Neale to continue knocking down open three-point shots.

That added boost that he gives them in terms of offensive production has proved to be a big difference in Games 2 and 3 for the Jazz and if he continues to shoot at a high percentage from deep, Memphis will have no answers in this series to stop him.
