The Miami Heat are always a team to watch when a superstar hits free agency. This offseason will be no different when it comes to Kawhi Leonard.

Miami needs to get some help for Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo this offseason. If they were able to land Kawhi Leonard, they would become not only one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference but the entire NBA.

It seemed unlikely that Kawhi Leonard would ever leave his hometown of Los Angeles, but things have not gone according to plan in his two seasons with the Clippers. Another early exit from the playoffs in 2021, which is becoming a real possibility with the Dallas Mavericks up 2-0 in the series heading home, and his plans could change.

If Kawhi Leonard legitimately entertains leaving LA, there will be a lot of teams lining up to sign him and Miami would be near the front of that line.
