Dwayne Dedmon has played well recently, but adding someone that can anchor the second unit in the middle should be near the organization’s to-do list this offseason. Bismack Biyombo could fill that void.
While Biyombo hasn’t quite lived up to the expectations of a No. 7 overall pick, he has carved out a role in his career as a high-energy big that makes some impact in the paint. He is a solid rim protector and rebounds the ball well, two areas Miami struggled mightily in this season.
Biyombo won’t offer much outside of dunks and putbacks offensively, but he should be a relatively cheap source of rebounds and block shots for Miami.
