This season was a roller coaster ride for the Indiana Pacers and now, they will have some major questions to answer in the NBA offseason. The first of which will deal with the future of first-year head coach Nate Bjorkgren.

Near the end of the regular season, a lot of news and NBA rumors came out about Bjorkgren losing the confidence of the locker room and feuds happening between the coaching staff and players, which is a big reason why his future with the team is up-in-the-air right now. Who knows what is actually going on with the Pacers behind closed doors since the media is not allowed in locker rooms this year due to health and safety protocols set by the league, but something is not right with the Pacers.

Nate Bjorkgren may be the head coach of the Pacers next season, he may not be, but at the end of the day, the Pacers will also need to answer questions about where they go from here roster wise because they have underachieved for years now even though they have had some impressive rosters.

With Domantas Sabonis, Malcolm Brogdon, T.J. Warren, Caris LeVert and Myles Turner fully healthy, the Indiana Pacers should definitely be a force in the Eastern Conference, but is this front-office willing to give this roster one more shot to prove that they can be special?

All five of these guys are under contract for next season and Indiana could play the “waiting game” to see what happens, but they could also look to move in a new direction this offseason, meaning that they could look to trade some of these guys away now while their value is at an all-time high.

Greg Swartz of Bleacher Report recently put together an interesting trade proposal centred around the Pacers trading away one of their current stars to the Atlanta Hawks in return for some young pieces to move forward with. Let’s take a look at this trade and break it down to see if it truly makes sense for both the Pacers and the Hawks.
