Does this trade make sense for the Atlanta Hawks?
If the Hawks could get Malcolm Brogdon for this price, especially without giving up a draft pick in the process, then they should pull the trigger on this deal immediately! While they do have Bogdan Bogdanovic at the shooting guard position, they would be getting a border-line All-Star player in Brogdon for absolutely nothing.

Kevin Huerter and Cam Reddish are nothing more than role players on this Hawks team and they are never going to hold a greater role than they already do, so why not trade them for a guy like Brogdon who can immediately join the Hawks and help them win games?
This deal seems like it would be too good to be true for the Atlanta Hawks, which is why it likely would not happen. It is very aggressive to say that the Pacers would look to give up Brogdon without a ton of return value, which is why this is not a plausible offseason trade idea for the Hawks.
Again, if they can make this happen, they might as well, but the same goes for pretty much any other crazy offseason trade idea. Yeah, the Pistons should absolutely make a trade with the 76ers for Ben Simmons because why not? They have nothing to lose in that scenario, much like the Hawks have nothing to lose trading for Malcom Brogdon in this scenario, but like the 76ers, the Pacers will not do this trade.
