Lonzo Ball’s development as a shooter is what makes him such a strong option in free agency. He has worked tirelessly to improve his shooting form and the work has begun bearing results. He knocked down a career-high 37.8 percent from 3-point land this season and 78.1 percent from the 3-point line.
While the former UCLA product turned more into a 3-and-D guard this season under Stan Van Gundy, he has shown that he has elite playmaking skills as the lead facilitator. Lonzo Ball’s willingness to accept a different role shows his character.
Lonzo Ball has also turned into a strong defender in the NBA. He gets in the passing lanes, averaging 1.5 steals per game in his career. If the Knicks can’t pry him away from New Orleans, they should look into veterans such as Kyle Lowry or Mike Conley to help fill the void at point guard.
