The New York Knicks are under new management with Leon Rose and William Wesley in the front office with Scott Perry and Tom Thibodeau on the sidelines as head coach. While no one thought highly of this team coming into the season, as many thought they would be in contention for the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, they shocked the basketball world going 41-31.
The Knicks finished fourth in the Eastern Conference, as the first season under Tom Thibodeau was a huge success. Julius Randle won the Most Improved Player of the Year award. Derrick Rose was a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year. Thibodeau was a finalist for Coach of the Year, and rightfully so.

The turnaround for the Knicks this season from last was like night and day. They got after it defensively and played hard every night. RJ Barrett is developing nicely in his second season in the NBA and looks poised to truly break through in his third season.
While the team was great this season, they do have areas of the roster that need upgrades. This offseason will be a big one for them, as they can vault themselves into true contender status in the Eastern Conference with a few roster tweaks.
