After a horrific season last year that resulted in them finishing 15-50, their worst season win wise since the 2000-01 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors entered the 2020-21 season with hopes that things would turn around in their favor, but then Klay Thompson suffered an Achilles injury that has kept him out for his second consecutive season, as he sat out last year with an ACL injury.
This season has been very shaky for the Golden State Warriors, but Stephen Curry has been having arguably his best season of his career and he is now 33-years-old! Curry is averaging 31.9 points (league-high), 5.5 rebound, 5.7 assists and is shooting 48.6% from the floor, 42.6% from three-point range on the year.

Due to Curry single-handedly carrying this team on his back, the Warriors find themselves as the 9-seed in the Western Conference and will have to fight for their playoff spot this year through the play-in tournament.
The Warriors likely do not have any chance to contend for a championship this season, but next year, assuming Klay Thompson can remain healthy, the Warriors will look to get back to their championship contending ways.
With their core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and James Wiseman all healthy and ready to go, this team definitely has what it takes to make it back to the NBA Finals, the only question is what will they do roster wise since they are already millions over the salary and hard caps.
