Agree to a long-term extension with Stephen Curry

Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are under contract through the 2023-24 season and Andrew Wiggins is under contract through the 2022-23 season, but Stephen Curry will be entering the final year of his contract and is up for a contract extension.

The Warriors and Curry could have agreed to terms on a new deal prior to or during this season, but Steph wanted to wait until the offseason to focus on a new deal that way Golden State could focus on winning games this year and not his contract situation.

So, when the Warriors’ season comes to an end, the first order of business for them will be to give Steph Curry whatever he wants contract wise. He will be making $45.7M next season, the largest contract value in the league for next season, but who knows what his next contract will look like.

Maybe he will take a small pay cut to give the Warriors some financial flexibility, or maybe he will force them to make him the highest paid player in the league, eclipsing Giannis’ super-max deal he signed prior to this season of $228M.

Whatever the Warriors and Steoh decide, he is going to be a Golden State Warrior for life and he is not going anywhere, so don’t worry Warriors’ fans!
