Atlanta Hawks Receive: Bradley Beal, Thomas Bryant

Washington Wizards Receive: Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Onyeka Okongwu, 2021 1st Round Pick, 2022 1st Round Pick (via OKC), 2023 1st Round Pick

Bradley Beal is scoring 31.3 points per game this season. He is an elite scorer at all three positions and can lead a team. This is not going to happen with the current configuration of the Wizards so it could happen with another team. Thomas Bryant would also be going back to Atlanta in this deal.

The Wizards would be able to get back some players and draft picks here. The Hawks used their first-round pick on Onyeka Okongwu and he would be an intriguing piece being sent to Washington.

Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic are other names that could contribute to Washington. They would also land a first-round pick in each of the next three drafts. The Wizards would basically bolster their supporting cast around Russell Westbrook if they aim to remain competitive, or they could trade these players for value in separate deals.

Right now, the Wizards do not appear to have much an outlook to be competitive with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook at the helm. At some point, the star-power isn’t what needs to be questioned, the focus needs to be on the management’s inability to field even a sub-par defense with even decent shooting.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this trade would benefit both sides right away.
