The New Orleans Pelicans have been active in NBA trade rumors throughout the course of the season. Lonzo Ball is the most recent name to come up and there will be plenty of teams interested if he is truly on the market.
The Pelicans could send Lonzo Ball and a first-round pick to New Orleans in exchange for Lauri Markkanen. Both players would be getting a fresh start in a better fitting situation. Markkanen can provide floor spacing alongside Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram while Ball would provide a boost in playmaking for the Bulls.
This would pair Lauri Markkanen with Zion Williamson in the frontcourt for the Pelicans. This is a move to speed up the process in New Orleans and give them another star. If they can get this deal done for Lonzo Ball and a first-round pick from the Los Angeles Lakers, it could benefit them greatly.
