Why This Trade Would Benefit The Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls made their first big move when they hired Billy Donovan to be their head coach. This proves that the franchise is interested in going in a different direction moving forward.

Zach LaVine has been the name mentioned at time in NBA trade rumors but Lauri Markkanen could ultimately be the player dealt. This would allow the team to build around LaVine. It would make sense to keep one of the big names around for the future.

Lonzo Ball would join Zach LaVine in the backcourt in hopes of turning things around in Chicago. He is averaging 13.3 points this season while shooting 35.3% from three-point range. He has turned it on over the last two weeks which is only improving his value.

The Bulls could look to bolster the backcourt along with adding a first-round draft pick. This would help Chicago replenish a bit. Young players like Coby White and Patrick Williams are looking like the real deal as well. The Bulls have some moves to make and this could be the first of many involving their rotation.
