Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Hassan Whiteside, Glenn Robinson III
Sacramento Kings Receive: Alex Caruso, Alfonzo McKinnie, Kostas Antetokounmpo
The Los Angeles Lakers had veteran Dwight Howard coming off the bench for them last season. He is now playing for the Philadelphia 76ers and they could find a replacement in Hassan Whiteside. This would be the exact same fit that Howard was a year ago.
Glenn Robinson III would give the Lakers some needed help from three-point range. It never hurts to add more helpful wing depth when gearing. up for an NBA title and Robinson III would help with that.
In return, the Kings would get some depth with Alex Caruso. He is an energy player off the bench who can play well on the defensive end. Markieff Morris and Kostas Antetokounmpo are other players that would be switching teams in this deal.
This trade would not be able to take place until Feb. 28 due to Robinson III having the latest recently signed player exemption — preventing him from being traded until three months pass from the date he signed with the Kings.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would help both sides and how the new additions would fit into their plans.
