Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers

It is clear and obvious that the Los Angeles Lakers do not need to make any trade to repeat as NBA champions. Their roster is constructed in a way that will have them near the top of the Eastern Conference for quite some time. They are once again the betting favorites to win the NBA title but some veteran players never hurt.

Both Hassan Whiteside and Glenn Robinson III have played nine games off the bench for the Kings. Whiteside is averaging 6.4 points and over one block per game. Robinson is scoring 7.2 points per game and shooting 40% from the three-point line. They both have their benefits for the Lakers.

First, they would be helpful coming off the bench. Whiteside is the perfect backup center who would come in and defend well. Robinson would give the Lakers some needed help from the three-point line. Most importantly, they would come cheap from the Kings.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are all the Lakers need to win during the postseason. They have help in Schroder, Harrell, and Kyle Kuzma. Placing the right blend of veteran talent on this team would just solidify them even further. We saw this during the playoffs last season.
