Dallas Mavericks
If there was any team LaMarcus Aldridge would absolutely love to play for, it’s more than likely the Dallas Mavericks. Aldridge, 35, was born and raised in Dallas-Forth Worth and would likely love to go back home and compete for an NBA title under one of the best owners in the entire league.
The Mavericks are a very team-oriented organization that prides itself on looking out for one another and competing for each other. Having a veteran that plays the right way would fit right into the style of the group.
Aldridge knows what he’s looking for at this stage in his NBA career and it’s to enjoy the game he loves and compete for a championship. Right now, the San Antonio Spurs do not have this chance and the Mavericks would provide him with that.
The Mavericks currently have Willie Cauley-Stein, Boban Marjanovic, and Kristaps Porzingis paving the way at the center position and they could use the help of LaMarcus Aldridge anchoring the center position for them.
Having another stretch-big like Aldridge would help provide insurance in case Porzingis was to go down with an injury. Both players could thrive together but having that backup option under such a circumstance would go a long way for the Mavericks.
