LaMarcus Aldridge has already proven himself to be one of the best centers in the NBA over the past decade, and the 2021 season is no different. LaMarcus Aldridge, who has been in San Antonio with the Spurs since 2015, could be a huge trade target for a team in need.
Aldridge has been accused of being washed up in the past, but he proved he can still contribute as he helped guide the Spurs past the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers and lead the game in scoring. That’s right, Aldridge out scored Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Kyle Kuzma in the Spurs’ win.
On the season, Aldridge is averaging 15.6 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game this season and could be a huge pickup for a contending team. Aldridge, 35, will be a free agent following the season so he likely is running out of time to play at a high-level with a championship-caliber team ahead of him.
The 14-year veteran stands at 6-foot-11 and has had a very successful career up to this point. Aldridge is a seven-time NBA All-Star and a two-time All-NBA Second-Team selection, but he has yet to win an NBA Championship. Seeing him have a chance to compete for a title at this stage of his career would be ideal.
With that being said, let’s take a look at four NBA teams who should pursue a trade for San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
