Philadelphia 76ers
Could you imagine a frontcourt duo that had both Joel Embiid and LaMarcus Aldridge? That duo would be nearly impossible to stop offensively. Sure, some people could argue that Joel Embiid and Aldridge wouldn’t be an ideal fit due to a lack of defensive versatility, but there’s a lot to like.
If the 76ers wanted to bring in a great center to help add some depth to a playoff-caliber team, bringing in LaMarcus Aldridge would be the move. Aldridge has size, length, and a crazy good jump shot.
A lot of teams in the Eastern Conference are built around playing with smaller spread lineups that can run up and down the floor. Right now, the 76ers can match that style, but adding Aldridge into the mix could go a long way into having multiple styles— enabling Philadelphia to play big at times.
If the 76ers want to add some big men, there may be none better on the active trade market than Aldridge. They could probably get away with just sending over an NBA Draft pick or two in exchange for his as well, especially considering this is the last year of his deal.
