Boston Celtics Receive: Myles Turner, Edmond Sumner

Indiana Pacers Receive: Daniel Theis, Romeo Langford, Aaron Nesmith, 2022 1st Round Pick, 2021 2nd Round Pick (via OKC)

The Boston Celtics would not need anything other than Myles Turner in this deal. He would completely solidify their lineup on all levels. They have trade assets in the form of young players and NBA Draft capital that they would be able to send the Indiana Pacers.

Daniel Theis got great experience last season for the Celtics and could provide a strong impact off the bench for the Pacers. Romeo Langford is an intriguing prospect who did not play much in his rookie season because of an injury but could develop behind Victor Oladipo as he is playing on an expiring deal. Aaron Nesmith is a nice addition, too.

Along with two NBA Draft picks, this deal could benefit both sides. It wouldn’t be a massive haul for the Pacers, by any stretch. However, playing Turner in primarily a spot-up role while scaling back his involvement offensively has simply hurt his trade value.

Let’s break this deal down further and see how it would benefit both the Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers.
