Brooklyn Nets Will Finish With Best Record In Eastern Conference

The Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been the best team in the Eastern Conference over the last two seasons and have been the 1-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs the last two years. This year though, things are going to be shaken up and changed in the East because Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are back and fully healthy.

Not only are the Brooklyn Nets going to be one of the better offensive teams in the NBA, but they are going to solidify themselves as the best team in the East early on in the season. The duo of Kyrie and KD are going to elevate their games to an even higher level this year and prove all of their doubters wrong who are saying that they cannot play together and are selfish basketball players.

With these two NBA superstars at the helm of the Brooklyn Nets roster and all of the talent that surrounds them, the Nets could be well on their way to a 55+ win season and the top seed in the Eastern Conference. When looking at the top 4 teams in the Eastern Conference from a season ago, it is clear to see that the Nets have a straight shot to reach the top because of the fact that none of these teams really improved.

The Bucks tried to make some big moves to improve their roster, but the only big addition they made was Jrue Holiday. Much like Malcolm Brogdon from a few years ago, Holiday will provide the Bucks with a third, reliable scoring option, as well as a great defender on the wing. The question that remains though is if this is enough to fend off the Brooklyn Nets.

The simple answer is no because of how well the Nets matchup with the Bucks at full strength. With Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie becoming reliable defenders and Kevin Durant being a fantastic two-way player, the Nets can not only make it hard for Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday to score, but have KD to be able to go one-on-one with Giannis Antetokounmpo with success.

The Raptors, Celtics and Pacers did not make any significant moves this offseason either, and as a result, the Brooklyn Nets will have the ability to win a bunch of games early on in the season, which will prove to be the difference in them being the top seed in the Eastern Conference at the conclusion of the 2020-21 NBA regular season.
