Kevin Durant Will Come Back Better Than He Was
Kevin Durant has not played since he was with the Warriors in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals, where suffered an Achilles injury that kept him out of all of last year. Prior to the injury though, Durant was still playing at a high-level and perhaps some of the best basketball of his career.
Now entering his 14th year in the league, the most impressive aspect of the future Hall-of-Famer’s career is that he has never averaged less than 20 points a game in a season. He is arguably one of the greatest scorers in the history of the NBA and the best player in the entire league when he is healthy. At close to 7-feet tall and with the scoring abilities he possesses, it is impossible to guard Kevin Durant, you just have to hope he misses.
This upcoming season with the Nets, Kevin Durant will not just be rejuvenated after sitting out all of last year, but he will be more determined than he has ever been. Coming back from his Achilles injury, Durant wants to prove to everyone that he is still the most dominant player in the NBA at 32-years of age and is not going anywhere anytime soon.
During his last full season with the Warriors, Durant averaged 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists and shot 52.1% from the floor with three All-Stars by his side! With Kyrie Irving and the Nets, Kevin Durant could average upwards of 30 points per game this season and be in the conversation for league MVP by the end of the season.
With all the expectations this season holds for the Nets and everything placed on Kevin Durant’s shoulders, he will not disappoint and will be the leading force to take the Nets to places they have never been as an organization.
