The Golden State Warriors will face an uphill climb when it comes to contending for an NBA championship. While Stephen Curry still leads the way, Klay Thompson will be sidelined for the whole season. Could trading for Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton provide an answer?
Earlier in the NBA offseason, the Warriors executed a trade for Kelly Oubre Jr. with the Oklahoma City Thunder— providing a stopgap option while Thompson is sidelined. However, why stop there?
The Bucks already made a major change this NBA offseason by acquiring Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans. With another All-Star caliber talent in the fold, Milwaukee could use it as an opportunity to make further changes to the supporting cast.
During the NBA restart, the Bucks were eliminated in the second round by the Miami Heat. Something has to change in Milwaukee and the Bucks could look to improve in hopes of keeping Giannis Antetokounmpo around long-term.
