Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Pacers
For the Pacers, this trade would be tough. Malcolm Brogdon was a huge free agency get for Indiana last offseason. But, if they can get value like this, Kevin Pritchard would have to strongly consider the move.
Lou Williams would provide the Pacers with some much-needed dynamic scoring. No one knows whether or not Victor Oladipo will get back to playing like his old self. Williams could help take pressure off of him.
Last season with the Clippers, Williams ended up averaging 18.2 points per game to go along with 5.6 assists and 3.1 rebounds. He shot 41.8 percent from the floor and 35.2 percent from three-point range.
Beverley would be another solid pickup for the Pacers. He would slide in as the starting point guard or the backup behind the up-and-coming Aaron Holiday. Indiana loves to play defense and Beverley would bring that and energy to the floor.
Add in two second-round picks that could be decent picks and the Pacers would have to consider this deal. Pritchard would acquire two players who can help the team win now and additional draft assets.
