The Hypothetical Trade

Clippers Receive: Malcolm Brogdon

Pacers Receive: Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, 2022 Second-Round Pick via Atlanta, 2024 Second-Round Pick via Detroit

In order to get a talent like Brogdon to place alongside Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, the Clippers would have to pay a decent amount. However, being able to get him for this price should be something that L.A. has a lot of interest in.

As for the Pacers, they may prefer keeping their franchise point guard in town. Brogdon is the best point guard the team has had for quite some time. Moving him would be a tough decision, but Williams is a top-notch scorer, Beverley would be a serviceable point guard with elite defense, and two second-round assets could come into play later on.

This trade could make a lot of sense for both teams. It’s a big deal, but one that could be worth discussing.

Let’s take a closer look at this trade and why both teams should pull the trigger on it if it is an option.
