Why This Trade Makes Sense For The Clippers

Some fans may question whether Malcolm Brogdon would be worth the price of Williams, Beverley, and two second-round picks. But, the Clippers need a big upgrade at the point guard position. Brogdon would take a ton of pressure off of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

He showed off his ability to score last season with the Pacers. His three-point shooting was a bit down, but he is capable of shooting much better alongside superstars like George and Leonard.

Williams and Beverley have been mentioned in a ton of trade rumors this offseason. Those rumors may not have much truth behind them, but they are both expendable and certainly aren’t untouchable.

With the addition of Brogdon, the Clippers would have a ball-handler who can create his own shot or create for others. He would make George and Leonard’s life much easier. Brogdon could come close to averaging a double-double in L.A.

This trade would be a big win for the Clippers. Brogdon would be the exact kind of upgrade that the team needs at the point guard position.
