The Detroit Pistons came into the offseason expected to move either Blake Griffin or Derrick Rose. However, we are well into the offseason and neither have been moved yet. That could change as the latter stages of the offseason continue forward.
Rose and Griffin could still be moved. Quite a few contenders will turn to the trade market to add other pieces. With free agency winding down, the trade market will be the only way that players are moved.
Both players are more than capable of making a major impact no matter where they play. The Pistons could also choose to keep them and try to compete. Detroit did add some nice pieces in free agency.
Last season with the Pistons, Griffin sat most of the year due to injury and only played in 18 games. Back in 2018-19, Griffin showed he had star power left with 24.5 points per game to go along with 7.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists.
Rose, on the other hand, had a big season last year with the Pistons. He averaged 18.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game. In addition to those numbers, he shot 49 percent from the floor and 30.6 percent from the three-point line.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three trades the Pistons could pursue with both Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose.
