Jrue Holiday’s Projected Landing Spot: Brooklyn Nets
This is not a team that you are hearing much about at the moment when it comes to Holiday, but there were talks in the past. Brooklyn and New Orleans discussed the idea of a Holiday deal at the deadline and it could heat back up this offseason.
The Nets have decent role players below Kevin Durant and Kylie Irving. Players like Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Jarrett Allen down low are key players. Irving said prior to the shutdown that this team needs another big name player to compete for a championship.

Holiday could be viewed as the third star many believe the Nets need to compete for an NBA title. He would help the team on the defensive end by taking on the toughest guard matchup— freeing up Kyrie Irving to focus on dominating on the other end.

Let’s not forget, Holiday isn’t just an elite on-ball defender, he’s an effective lane penetrator that can create pressure on a defense. He may not be an efficient perimeter shooter, but having that type of skill-set to complement shot creators like Durant and Irving would help.
The Brooklyn Nets made it clear that they want to win. If they want to take it to the next level, they will have to make another move and Jrue Holiday could be that move. It would put the rest of the Eastern Conference even more on notice.
