1. Add Dynamic Point Guard
It feels like the New York Knicks have not had a dynamic point guard since the Walt Frazier days. This offseason, they have a chance to add one in a trade or in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The Knicks hold the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. This could be used to draft a guard like Killian Hayes in that spot. The Knicks could also try to move up for LaMelo Ball if they feel the need.
If they are going to move the No. 8 pick, the Knicks could try to throw it in a deal for Chris Paul or Russell Westbrook. The front office said that the yare willing to take on an undesirable contract and both point guards fit that bill.
This is an offseason where the Knicks need to give fans something to be excited about. They need to add a player that can change the culture and bring a different mindset to the team. It begins at the point guard position.
