The New York Knicks finished 31st in the NBA last season scoring 105.8 points per game. This is because of their inability to shoot from beyond the arc as they finished 27th in perimeter shooting efficiency— converting at a 33.7% clip.

This offseason, the Knicks need to add three-point shooting however they can. This is a league that thrives on guards that can space the floor and shoot from deep. The Knicks have neither.

There are a few names on the market like Danilo Gallinari and Joe Harris but it is unknown if they will want to play for a contender, especially Gallo as he enters the later part of his NBA career.

It is difficult to build a winner in this league without stars who can shoot the ball from deep. This is a big way for the Knicks to compete next season and attempt to score more points.
