5. San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs had a great point guard out of France at one time that helped them win championships. Killian Hayes could be the next one they decide to let run their offense. The Spurs did not make the postseason for the Irish time in 22 years this season and that could lead to some changes.
DeMar DeRozan immediately comes to mind. There are talks of him being unhappy in San Antonio so the team could decide to move him and get younger. Dejounte Murray can play off the ball if needed. Murray and Hayes would give the Spurs one of the best young backcourts in the league.
There just isn’t enough offensive firepower in the Spurs’ offense, particularly from the point guard position. That could worsen with the futures of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge likely not lasting much longer in San Antonio.
Hayes might not be there when the Spurs are on the clock but this would be an incredible pick if they somehow land him. It will be interesting to see how the 2020 NBA Draft works out and where Hayes is picked.
