2. DeMar DeRozan, San Antonio Spurs
DeMar DeRozan has a player option for $27.8 million next season. There is no doubt that he will opt in for the 2020-2021 season. He came over in the Kawhi Leonard trade and it is safe to say that the deal did not work out well for San Antonio.
There are feelings of unhappiness in San Antonio. DeRozan wants out and he could get his wish this offseason. After not making the postseason for the first time in 22 years, the Spurs could enter a complete rebuild. DeRozan is not in the future plans.
The 30-year old guard is still an elite mid-range talent but he struggles to shoot from the three-point line. DeRozan can join a win-now team and produce as a No. 2 or 3 option on the floor.
The Spurs currently have Dejounte Murray and the 11th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. These are the pieces that they should build their team around. Also, DeRozan could have some value left and it is up to San Antonio to find out.
