4. Jrue Holiday, New Orleans Pelicans
Jrue Holiday could be on the move this offseason and sooner than later. The New Orleans Pelicans have already engaged in talks with other teams surrounding Holiday. Once they made the trade that sent Anthony Davis to the Lakers, it is clear that they were heading in a certain direction.
The Pelicans were able to get Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, and Josh Hart back in the Davis’ deal. They drafted Zion Williamson with the first-overall pick in last year’s draft. It is clear that they are trying to get younger and the 30-year old Holiday might not be in the plans.
Holiday is a former All-Star and will have value on the trading block. He has plenty left in the tank and could warrant a nice return for New Orleans.
Do not be surprised to see Holiday dealt prior to the 2020 NBA Draft. He is a guard that can start if needed or come off the bench and provide some valuable minutes. The versatility and willingness to play his role is what sets Holiday apart.
